Jack Sparrow has been sailing with Gibbs on the Black Pearl after he left Angelica Teach on the same island on which he was left by Barbossa a year before. Angelia is pregnant with Jack Sparrow’s child and is still in love with him. But he doesn't return her feelings... or does he? She will find out when they meet again, in Tortuga, after she escapes from the island.
Together they meet Elizabeth Turner and her husband, Will Turner, who returned from the World's End to warn Jack about a vessel that was roaming between worlds. The vessel was captained by none other than Jack's sworn enemy, the evil Davy Jones, on his haunted ship The Grim Reaper. He is seeking revenge on the Sea Goddess Calypso, who was betrayed by the First Brethren Court.
What Angelica does not know is that her father is not dead. He has been called the master of resurrection, as he has supposedly died and come back to life multiple times – and he has done so again. He is now searching for a ship, and searching for his daughter and Jack Sparrow, to take revenge upon them. He plans to take his ship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, back from Captain Hector Barbossa.
James Norrington has returned from the dead too, and is working on the Grim Reaper for Davy Jones. His goal is to get Elizabeth Turner to become his wife since William Turner is now a Captain on the Flying Dutchman, the ship that ferries the dead to the other side. Every 10 years Will may come ashore and has one day with his wife and son, but is it enough? Will is losing Elizabeth, and if James get a second chance in life, then he must choose his fate: to stay on the Flying Dutchman or find the Fountain Of Youth to gain immortality.
Because dead men tell no tales.
